Well, 25th place isn't bad for my second entry. Means more trying and a lot of work.
Still - very encouraging.

This photo really hits home for me because I am in the USA and ny Dad who is dying (cancer spread to his brain) is in South Africa with no way of me being able to get there. It is really eating me up not being able to say goodbye to him. To add to it this was the first photo that came up on my screen for voting and commenting on. Powerful image for me. Good luck 8

nice image/title, but it seems to contradict the nature of the challenge-- almost flippant to use as a "Bummer!" entry for what should be an emotional image.

Wow, the idea far outweighs a "bummer". In my opinion, DOF is far to shallow. There isn't enough in focus to really grab your attention and nowhere for your eyes to go after you see FATHER.
