Drew, Kamanda, and Mark. I got into the studio at my college (woohoo!!) and shot them against a blank white background...two softboxes, left and right, set at 62. Background light, on the right, set at 500. They did super great!

The idea of this picture is that people can be friends, no matter what color they are. These guys hang out all the time.

I expect to get a few "racist!" comments. Not sure how this will do, hopefully better than my last one.

Post: Thanks to all for the wonderful comments, my first 6 on my second challenge, what a rush!!

Nicely done and good use of B&W. I think it would have made it even stronger if you would have had them evenly spaced as the guy on the right feels a bit alone on the right half of the shot. Just being nitpicky as it is a wonderful shot. Keep up the good work!

Creative interpretation of the challenge. I don't do portraits (so take with a grain of salt) but something about the composition makes me want to zoom out a little and/or pan slightly left. Regardless, this is a great way to meet the challenge & a fun shot overall.

I can imagine you've had a couple of DNMC low votes but I think this is a fantastic take on the challenge.

Very original idea but there are some problems with it. The pose is not balanced. The guy on the left is overexposed. Nice try just not quite it.

I got a new favorite image!! Thank you for this wonderful idea. The idea itself overshadows any remaining small technical glitch. I would have loved to see a better camera angle. But this one would do just fine as a winner methinks:-)

Kudos my friend, you found a way to peek into our hearts through the eyes.

Good idea, but I think the lighting and composition could have been better.

A little too much saturated... The cheek on the the right guy is all white. But good one!

I don't physically "see" color in this one, but the message is terrific and the execution is also.
