 contrast, lighting, borders, smoothing noise-

I used a photo light inside a conch shell, turned down the lights, and turned the shell to the angle of all the points.

I had the shell setting on a black sheet, and the light was covered by the sheet sure not to let the light escape the shell.

The photo had some noise to it, because my camera doesn't come with a flash or night vision, that is why I used the noise smoother and contrast/ lighting filters.

I like it, there is something mysterious about it, I think the frame helps, but I would crop it differently...what is this? (8)

I can see the spiral structure but I don't know what it is. That is OK with 'abstracts'

Great sense of depth in an excellent composition! But the frame is too heavy and I'm not sure the filter (median?) is helpful. 7

Conch shell lit from behind/inside? I like the lighting and the PS effect you have used, but it is still pretty easily recognizeable. The turquoise-ish spot on the bottom right is distracting.
