reminds me of some fairy tell where a poor hcild is locked in his/her room for a long time, just staring at the beauty below.

Johnny looked out his window every day, and wondered what would happen were he to walk through those trees. The very act was forbidden. The stories enough to curdle the blood, yet Johnny wondered.

Then one day Johnny threw open the window, and in defiance of all he knew, jumped down and walked calmly through the trees.

The wind blew ominously through the silent land.
