This is another frame from the shoot I did for the recent Shallow DOF challenge. I don't really have a lot for the FS this month (nothing new there) so I thought I'd try and edit that shot using Advanced Editing rules. Here's my entry from the Shallow DOF challenge for comparison:

You may want to try this as a black and white with the flower still being in color. I like the concept a lot.

old subject, but well executed. I'd recommend to either clean fingernails before shooting or make the hands dirty all over

When Professor Dingman created the mini-daisy, hardly anyone took notice. He was ridiculed and forced into early retirement.

Nicely focused and lit, and well composed image. A few leaves on the flower stem would have given this a more natural look, as if the plant were actually growing in the dirt.
