 Popped down to visit Talj at the weekend and as she knew I was struggling with a FS shot she went in search of an Ecce friendly place to visit.

So, on Saturday we drove down to the Raptor Centre at Groombridge place in Kent. Eddie Hare runs the centre and I for one learnt much about Raptors during the display as he imparted wonderous facts about his birds. He had even trained a common crow to enter the arena at a given time (well, not really, the Crow had taught himself that if he arrived at the right time he would be rewarded).

As for the pic, I do think I took better on the day but decided to go 'safe' and hopefully keep my 4th place in the FSM.

Beautiful clear shot, very pretty subject. Love it in the b&w with the eyes still coloured, this kind of edit looks great on birds.

Gorgeous lenses.. I like presentation of desat enhancing his gorgeous eyes.. He looks like a little horned owl.. Wonder if this was taken on a rainy day:)
