 These images were taken during the DPChallenge SLC (Utah) Area GTG at the Salt Flats on September 27th.

This is HDR processed from a single image. It started with Photomatix Pro merging 3 exposures and then was tweaked in Photoshop using Color Efx Pro.

Okay....I HAVE to try this with some of my pictures. That is awesome. Is there a way to do it with just CS3, that's all I have.

i love it, the silhouette against such a strong sky but it aint really a silhouette at all, i just loves it.

Thanks. I originally turned the salt pure white ... as that was more how I saw the scene. But as I played with it, I wanted to bring some additional warmth into the sky, and you can't very well have a warm sky without the scene it is lighting becoming warm at the same time. So that's why I added warmth to the white salt.
