Gordon had had a rough life, and now he was at the edge of ending it all. It would be simple. One step, and it would all be over. Gordon looked down into the churning morass, steeled himself, and took the plunge.

Moments later he cursed himself once again, as he soared over the stream. Perhaps it wasn't the best suicide method for a bird.
