IMHO the lighting is a bit too severe and a fill/reflector would have really helped by giving some light on his dark side and give some depth to the instrument. The wrinkled backdrop is a bit distracting, so maybe a lower f stop would have put that a bit more oof. Overall a nice portrait with great skin tones and a perfect exposure. 7

Nice shot with a good choice of background. (I like how it picks up the color of the violin) I'd like to see a bit of fill light from the right. A reflector, even if it were just a piece of white cardboard, would definitely help here.
