Wow, what a difference a day makes...

Wait...that was 2 years ago. OH MY GOSH...!!!

For this one, I believe you were right and the voters were wrong: for the most part. I believed that this photo was way more 'Color Studio Portrait' then many of the photos that scored higher. Yes, they may have been better photos but I didn't see them as something somebody would do in a studio nor as a true portrait. Your lighting is a little bright but I think you got 'Studio Portrait' over many of the other photos. Keep up the great work and it's good to see your still at it!

Cute girl and post. The lighting is too hard and harsh.

Cute model, but very harsh on camera flash combined with her putting her weight on her hands take away from the photo. The flash causes the harsh lighting and the hard shadow behind her. She does not look very comfortable having the photo taken.

Great attempt, and you certainly have a good model to practice with. Keep at it.

Some rather harsh shadows in this shot. Bring your subject away from the back ground and use a defuser to soften the light. It also looks like the flash was fired on camera. If possible, it would help to get the flash off camera.

Nice pose and expression. Direct flash is a bit harsh and flat.

Awkward pose makes her upper arms look very thick, and of course, the often mentioned flash shadow on the background.

harsh flash, try bouncing it off the ceiling for softer light.

great picture but could have been better if flash didn't give it such a flat dimmension

Would rather not see a shadow from a flash in a portrait. Could be better to direct light in from the side or front and side instead of head-on.
