 "As the clock struck twelve he heard a rustling noise in the air, and a bird came flying that was of pure gold; and as it was snapping at one of the apples with its beak, the gardener's son jumped up and shot an arrow at it. But the arrow did the bird no harm; only it dropped a golden feather from its tail, and then flew away."

This is actually a swan's feather, shot in late afternoon so it had a golden tinge which I enhanced. I was originally sorting through that day's shots to see if I had something that would fit for "The Six Swans" but any decent shots had either 5 or 7 swans, of course.

Not expecting much, but decided it's wayyyy too long since I've gotten to play with my update button :)
