that is one ugly frog! - the dots throughout the background and on the frog provide an interesting texture to the overall image

I think you could have gotten a better position for both lighting and perspective, and the framing does not seem quite right to me. This has potential, however. I'd like to see your outtakes if there are any.

Very effective bg choice. Statues, figurines, dolls, etc...usually don't score that well unless they're an exceptional entry. You have done a nice job in lighting this and getting a well focused image. Good luck!

LOL.. cute statue, but I really think this image could have benefitted from a nicer background - maybe if you had photographed it among some pretty flowers in a garden with nice sunset or sunrise lighting, it would have made it more interesting. I also think I would've changed the eye color in photoshop.
