Ahhhh, what a lovely shot this is.. everything is perfectly exposed.. the keys have detail even though they are in shadow.. the composition is great - the textures in the wall, in his face are great, the lines in the accordion are interesting, what a fascinating face he has, how earnest he is, he loves to entertain! I want to hear his music, hear what he is singing about. That's what a great photograph does, it wants you to be in that particular moment, it makes you want to be there! Do go back there, do a whole series of this dear soul and share them.

Fantastic work - the harsh lighting, strong shadows, and blown out areas give this shot such a great high energy and alive feel

You have shown just enough to tell the story. Big accordion, small shouldered man, getting on, clothes may soon be too big for him, singing intensely. What is he singing? An old song. How old? Who listens to these songs? Nostalgic for what times in (modern?) Greece? There, you've got me going.

The harsh shadows and high contrast really make this work for me. The framing/crop suggests that he is secondary to, or an extension of perhaps, his instrument. Nice job!

The moment I saw this one absoved my complete attention. Your composition, use of lightin and processing are really good, but his expression is what makes this one for me, his face tells so much.

Love the composition and the expression. Have you tried bringing out a touch more shadow detail using shadows/highlights or something similar?

You may also want to print this and take it with you when you go again. I'm sure he'd love a copy! Great character; love the shadows here.

Very strong shadows here obscure his face a bit too much, would be nice to see it again in less harsh light.
