You've captured a great action shot. The composition is what hurts the shot in my opinion.
As is, it has a snapshot feel to it...sort of like you were driving down the road and stuck your camera out the window...extreme analysis. ;) Cropping this capture tighter would help and using the rule of thirds. If you were to reshoot, I would zoom in and isolate the boat with the wonderful water spray and try to have no distracting elements (like the yellow thingies.) Your horizon looks pretty straight (good job) which is also something to watch for when shooting and something I seem to correct after the fact. I'm always off 1 degree. ;( Not bad for your first submission. Keep them coming! |
