Nice, very well rounded image, great B&W conversion and nicely lit
Would like to see the tool a little grubbier though but I will let you off that small nitpik ;) |

I think this is my favourite shot of the challenge. Perhaps the only criticism I can give on it is to be careful when trying to make hands look dirty. When there's genuin filth involved, it tends to settle into the cracks & grooves of your hand, rather than sitting on the surface and leaving the grooves clean. But that's a very minor critique on an excellent photo. |

A wonderful entry and the title is fantastic! I think the title on it's own is worth a high vote. Of course, we don't vote on the title. I want to know how you did this sort of selective desat within basic editing rules. |

I like it, I just wish the whole hand was in focus. |

Very nice contrast between the newness of the silver wrench and the grease on the hand |

Nice image - Great sharpness and tones - Like the simple image - Find the dark image to the top left very distracting though against the thumb - Stops this image from popping which it distracting to the eye |

I'd have thought a tool in hand would be a kinda boring subject but this is gorgeous; the dirty, rough texture of his hand and the gleaming, slightly abraised texture of the spanner go together brilliantly. My choice to win. |

A smaller aperture for more depth of field would have brought the whole hand into focus and made this a stronger image. |
