Kids running across the plaza trying to make it across before the water jets go on. Sometimes they don't quite make it....

Cool - my highest rating yet. Always tickled to get 8s, 9s and 10s.

The original is in my portfolio if interested. The child behind had bright green on his shirt, which showed up really bad in the image, which is a big reason I went to B&W. Then tried various cropping until I felt satisfied.

The background was interesting - it's in the middle of the city, so they'll always be something in the back. Some commenters thought it added to the scene, some wished they were gone. I happen to like the cops being there - gives it a gritty feel. But that's city photography. This area was so crowded I was lucky just to get the shot :-)

A tighter crop on the boy would have eliminated all the distracting elements in the background.
