My parents had a house in a place that looked just like this! I remember the big open backyards (between new developments) and the people trying to squeeze in trees where they could. Just a little too much sharpening for my taste a you can see the white outlines around the rooftops. Good idea for the challenge. |

Good use of an object up front to give depth/dimension. I find this image to be over sharpened, which makes it a bit harsh on the eyes. |

Like this, although the strange colouration possibly adds a sense of mistake rather than intent to it. The point is pretty nicely made too. |

Please stop using high pas filters inappropriately, and that goes for a lot of people. Its tacky and it ruins some decent photographs. |

Great subject for the challenge! The detail seems to be lost through in processing and lots of halo around some edges. |

Nice image - Like the tones of this but the border is a little distracting due to it's thickness and the lack of sharpness in the tree makes it hard for our eyes to go beyond to the homes. Maybe just a bit too much PP work. Love the composition though which many of the other entires are lacking. |

I like the tree as the subject but don't care for the bluish cast over the pic. The border draws attention to the top of the tree being just barely cut off. |

Not sure what camera you have, but I'd be interested to know where it selected it's focal point. The tree sees overly sharpened, and the homes blurred, but not enough to save the image in my opinion. |
