 Lighting was natural, early morning by our big kitchen window.

Post process was:

Luko sharp
Cloned out color smudges around his mouth
Hue / Sat
Selective Color - mostly for contrast on the white / mid / black levels but with more control.
Overlay layer w/ high pass @ like 70% opacity for additional sharpening.
Shadow / Highlight liberal on the highlight parts.
Mask on eyes w/ slightly bumped brightness for detail.
Lots of Dodge and Burn, mostly on the eyes and background.
Masked Hue / Sat to darken things like his shirt and blanket
Black and White Gradiant map adjustment layer.
Liberal neat image
