 robinssongdid the editing.(And she did a beautiful job). I did the shooting. I have noticed that the big Dragon flies seem to be much more skittish of people than the smaller ones. I approached this little guy at his level, by laying down on the ground about 8 feet from him with my camera mounted on a short, collapsible tripod. I slowly crawled towards the little guy,taking several pictures as I approached.I kept inching my way towards him until I was within inches of this little Dragon fly. He just sat there posing :)

Oh wow I would kill to get a close up of a dragon fly. The move too quickly for me and I don't have steady heads. The composition is fabulous. Awesome Awesome job. I am very envious.
