This is not rotated ...

I doubt it will do too well, mainly because of the subject and also because of the busy background. Still, I like the colors and the fine lines of the net.

Curves, USM, crop.

It is a bit busy in the background and bright enough that it takes away from the main subject. As an entry in the 'Upside Down' challenge I felt it met the challenge just fine. I gave it a 5...kind of it's "ok", not bad or anything, just not a "wow" moment either.

As a Macro shot for the side challenge, I'd like it to be tighter and more personal with the subject. That spider looks to have a lot of detail that would really stand out if it could be seen better.

All JMO of course. :-)

I always like spiders (on a photo, not in the house). I agree with your own about the busy background. It takes a lot of attention from the spider Perhaps a BW conversion? But then of course you would miss the colors.

another great spider image that bombed out .. like i said to bobonacus, you take a risk entering bugs coz some ppl just dont appreciate them and their vote reflects it .. great colours in the background .. love the web so clear and your spider is excellent .. :)

A similar shot to what I had originally taken for this challenge. The reason I did not enter it was because it was also a bit cluttered and fussy.

I might have cropped this one a bit tighter to lose the distracting light areas top left and right and also add a bit more impact on the spider.

Good focus on the spider.
