This is a great idea, as the bug is not actually rusty, but he looks as if he is rusty. I love how people interpret the challenges in different ways. I really got tired of seeing the literal interpretations, and this freshened me up.

Interesting picture. Well executed. A bit of a risk given the catagory but I like it. Wish you well in the voting.

can't blieve there's a bug shot even in rusted theme week

A little more depth of field would help take this from being a good shot to a great shot.

I am looking for real rust and won't be mislead.

what a great idea, and subject. IMO this would be nicer if the bugs head was more in focus.

Nope. The rustiness doesn't show in the photo.

Interesting take, perhaps the picture relies too much on the title though. Think it might be a little too sharp on the bug's head, but that might be the light.

Light is a little harsh, but color of leaf is magnificent.

An original concept on "rusted" - glad it's not another chain link or lock. You need more depth of field if possible. The white in the background and the frame are both detractors.

Nice tight macro, but too much of a stretch for me as a "rust" challenge", and the composition itself just doesn't draw me at all.

I grasp the concept but think this leaf/bug falls short for the challenge at hand. Good luck.

Really interesting bug, but those antennae need to be in focus.

I don't mind you extending rust to mean other things besides oxidation processes, in fact--points for creativity! However, there may be ways to better communicate the inadequecies of this bug? He looks pretty spry to me. Lovely macro, though, and wonderful point of view.
