Tongight on national photographic online, we examine that most feared bird of prey, the tarmigen Ptarmegen Ptarmagan... the bird in the picture.
Our staff photographer spent months stalking and seeking out this most rare of fowl. In this scene you can see the ptarmegehn bird preparing to strike out at its prey, a nest of recently hatched bokeh, which has been left unguarded by the adult bokeh while they are working overtime, posing for holiday photographs.

| Hey, that's pretty good to sneak up on one of these to capture a photo. Very nice control of focus to get such clairty and detail around the head and eye area. Right on the mark! |
