 Went for a walk today in desperation for a decent shot for the free study, absolutely nothing jumped out at me. I took a macro shot of a holly bush just before going home. They remind me of Christmas. I don't expect it to do well against the usual quality of images in the FS but I hope to have a 5.something score, rather than another bloody 4.

Edit: Crop, resize, lowered all colour hues except red, upped the contrast using levels, cloned out one or two speck flaws and sharpened.

4 - Nice idea - if the fore berry was in focus too and overall a variation in composition, make this better in my opinion (although I do miss the color (even just a hint) of the leaves).

Just too bright for my liking. I like the idea of the red vs. the grey, just toned down a bit.
