Thanks for all the great comments. Interesting to hear the mixed reviews on the desat. It was my first time ever doing it and I am pleased with my score. The non-desat looked nice as well, but I alwys wanted to try de-sat so that is what I did. There was an outtake with the fire hydrant bright yellow as well that was way over the top.

I'm not a big fan of selective desat. Just an opinion but I think this would have worked naturally by letting the colors speak for themselves without manipulation. Myself as a viewer, I prefer not being lead.

Composition is strong. I'm not one for selective saturation but that being said, it works to convey your idea.

This works well! Is this Broadway in Seattle? Good use of color isolation! -10-

Hm, I think the selective desaturation here doesn't have a purpose other than to suit the first impact. The coat and the light do pop out but this impression is gone after 1.5 seconds and then you have nothing left. After that time it starts to bother me.

I really like the lines in this - the crossing marks and the building lines. Very strong! Cyclist is in a great location in the frame. But to be honest, I'm not thrilled with the yellow. I do fully understand that you did that intentionally - nice tie to the jacket (implying rain) and the match to the street lamp, and in that respect it's successful. My personal preference, though, would be all B&W. Still a very strong shot.

Loving the perspective, however I am sick of selective saturation in fact cannot stand it anymore... and in my eyes a simple black and white was more than enough for this shot!
