I would have desaturated the image a bit. the color of you subject and the background is too similar. Fortunately the texture of your subject is very different then the texture of the leaves, desaturation would emphasize this difference.

The colors and the saturation work great here. I'm not too sure of the subject. Could be anything. I really like it, though!
