I was just desperate to enter a challenge since I have entered so few lately. So I get home from college at 8:45 p.m., eat a little something, browse through my new issue of After Capture look at a news magazine and than I'm totally bored but not ready to go to bed. I bum around for a while and than wish I would have been more diligent and entered something for this challenge. It's now 11:23 p.m. I go down to my room, grab my camera and take a couple pics of coins spinning on edge. BORING! I see my flashlight and turn off the lights and set the camera on a tripod and take a few shots of twirling my flashlight. Getting better! I see a Barrilitos soda bottle and try to make the light look light it was pouring out. Unsuccesful. I stand the bottle up and do pretty much what I did with this shot. Much better, but boring bottle. I look up and pull a Sobe bottle off my dresser, take about 15 shots and decided I better get them on my laptop. 11:35 p.m. Browse through the photos and find two decent ones. One of the other bottle and then this one, (the sobe bottle) I open it in photoshop do a bit of shadow/highlights, levels and bump up the greens contrast and get it resized. I save the file to my jumpdrive and bring it upstairs to the desktop which is hooked up to the internet, (dial-up :( I upload the photo and the clock just turns to 11:49. I finish writing this and it's 11:55. I press upload... I have gotten the idea, taken the photo, processed it, uploaded it to DPC and wrote this account in 32 minutes. I am pleased. |
