I'm one of your "8" scores. Of course, I think this is a lovely abstract but I see others did not agree. Good luck in your next Challenge! Beautiful work.

Mother Nature is one heckuvan artist isn't she? NICE tulip macro! Focus is too tight to be totally abstract, imho.

Nice shot overall, but a bit overexposed at the tip, and its basically a flower macro first, and thus does not give the feel of an abstract. The forms are there, but this is a good example of why things that are too recognizable are not perceived as abstract.

a good image, but not an abstract. Your choice of composition and sharpness makes this very recognisable, I enjoy the image as the flower, not just as shapes and colors.
