This is fantastic! There is so much detail in this shot, and the nail is so nicely contrasted on the old wood. 8 from me - really enjoyed it! |

Very sharp. There are many, many nail pics this week, and most are out of focus. Well done. |

I would have changed the title to "rust never dies", or "rust remains", but love your DOF and overall shot composition! |

Beautiful textures! I think the angle could be improved, though. Perhaps by reframing the shot so the hazy background falls behind the nail head? As it is the reason for the right hand fourth of the picture isn't apparent to me. |

Great detail. The highlights look a little strong, but not so bad that they are overblown. I also like your choice of DOF. |

Nicely composed, with almost exactly the right DOF. I would have (personally) preferred either the entire 'wall' behind the nail obscured or none of it.

Even though I do not prefer a sqare format, the right side of the photo, even though nicely diffused, detracts from an otherwise great shot. |

The solid negative blurry space to the right draws my eyes away from the nail, which is fantastic, without that space on the right would have been a real high scorer, maybe from the right side would be better. |

Nice texture. I think it could be improved by slightly rotating your POV so that the strong vertical line does not intersect the head of the hail. |

Hey hey, my my. :) Not sure about the composition. But the rust is prominent, and the details are crisp. |
