 My first submission for awhile. Taken on a recent mushroom outing with my kids. This is a Russula, but I am not sure of the edibility, or the exact spiecies, only the genus of Russula. They are quite common in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. Some are good to eat, some are so so, some are inedible because of their acrid taste, and some will make you ill. I have always been facinated with mushrooms and have been hunting them for over 20 years. Sometimes, the smaller things are very beautiful and complex. Not sure how this will be recieved, but hoping it will at least be in the top 100?

I love the photo. Not too crazy about the border, which is too heavy for the ethereal feel of the image.

7 - Nice image. Wish it were a fraction sharper.. Like the framing, but given the delicate nature of the subject(s), wonder about it (the red/orange line) a little finer.
