Thanks for all your comments! The face was over-ex on purpose to contrast nicely with the rust.
I actually never thought about cropping it tighter on the face. It does make sense! :-) |

I thought I would see this amongst the ribbons.
Great shot.
My original comment during the challenge was very lengthy and so I decided to cut it..but it was based on the same comment as "Whagerbaumer" made about cutting the image off at the eyebrow..it definitely added impact to the image for me when I held my hand up to the screen and viewed the image without the hairline and ear.One of the pictures where a fifty/fifty compositional split works well.
Great work though..well done |

| Oh this is terrific! I wish the model wasn't quite so washed out, because otherwise the picture is perfect. Marvelous job with the focus. I wonder what a blue eyed model would do to this idea. Doesn't matter. Great job. |

| Good matching of colors. The skin is overexposed, which draws the eye to the left. By croppin goff the ear, and perhaps the hair, the focus might have been drawn back to the center of the picture. Great idea, great focus. |

| What a beautiful eye and surroundings. Perfect exposure. And on the right side the rust has a nice feel although a bit soft. Compositionally... that's a different story. 1) The little triangle at the bottom left corner (ear I believe) detracts a bit and would be easy to crop out. 2) Even though the right side is about the right proportion for me, it seems a bit "contrived." Finally your title "Hiding" seems inappropriate - the person with that eye WANTS to be seen. Hope this makes sense - because I really like what you did here. |

| really enjoyed this one, colors are beautiful; especially as the rust seems to be reflected in the eyes and hair of your subject. The subject appears as worn emotionally as the metal is worn chemically, physically. Jagged and raw, thank you for a great shot |

| I like this idea. Creative idea. I do think the eye needs some clean-up. I would start by removing the red on the lower lid.....that or really play that up with make-up.Then crop out the left more and level the shot, it's tilted to the left a bit. |

Really striking image. I like the human element. Incidently, this model looks quite a bit like me (at least in the eyes). Maybe it is the ethnically ambiguous similarity?

| I like the contrast and how the eye almost looks rusted as well. At first I wasn't sure about the overly bright face, but decided that I like that also. |
