I am not going to read others comments as I am late in posting so forgive me if I duplicate them

Where I come from people do this too .. except they do it to gravestones.. to each their own I guess

This does make me wonder about his future use of this art. It is interesting that his paper is not big enough for the whole manhole cover. Maybe he is going to scan this and use it as a component in some digital art project.

Interesting photo. Good subtle colors. The composition is good and leaves me wondering why this fellow is doing this. Maybe a pattern for another art form.

its not really art, just tracing over it, but maybe thinking of tracing over a manhole is art

Never heard of manhole cover art. Looks like something I should try - Germany has awesome manhole covers. I imagine I might get some odd looks...
