Certainly abandoned, but the tilt doesn't add anything. The tie-in with the title is a bit too ambitious. As far as the technicals, capturing this just before dusk or after dawn might have given more interesting lighting, shown off the textures better.
I kind of like the tilt here. At first I wasn't so sure, but then it really seemed to add to the tumultous feelings of losing your business (or anything else, for that matter).
I like the concept to this and the angle, in artsy terms could represent a crumbling building so, nice deep thinking here in this shot. Not sure, given my own experiences that it's going to go over well with DPC voters though. :( I like it though. I see the value in it, even to the overprocessing to it!
i dunno what you were going for with the tilt, but it actually works.
nice colors and editing, but for me the perspective and crop (why square?) lacks a leading point of view. i'm thinking of maybe having the road included or some more of the environment around would have helped to see this building in the context of its social surroundings. does that make sense?
Not sure how I feel about the tilt. The rest of the pic is dull. I do like this better than similar pics without the tilt, at least that seperates it from the pack if nothing else.
