I can't see a relationship to the challenge, and don't quite understand the composition as well. Did you need the small jar and two candles? I dont' think so. Also the line marking the corner in the wall is distracting. 2

This doesn't meet the challenge for me but I do like the shot.

rustless ... nice photo though

I see no rust or enen rust of another type(like plant rust). Sorry
05/10/2004 05:12:54 PM
Wilt isn't rust. You worked too hard on this to waste it as an entry in "Rusted"
05/10/2004 04:57:34 PM
Where is the rust?! I would score this higher if it fit the challege. Too many elements in this picture are out of focus. I would recommend either increasing the depth of field to have the jars in focus or remove them and reframe the shot to emphasize just the vase and the flower.

Nice picture, but I see no rust.
05/10/2004 11:13:25 AM
Am I missing The rust here?
05/10/2004 05:40:36 AM
Not my idea of rusted, but nice photo anyhow. Nice DOF and detail on the flower.
05/09/2004 09:42:25 AM
There's no rust, at least that I can pick out in a black and white photo. wilted, yet. Rusted, no. Why black and white? Technically good, but my vote will be low.
05/09/2004 12:21:49 AM
It is nice, but where is the rust?
05/08/2004 11:36:08 PM
Where's the rust connection?
05/08/2004 06:04:24 PM
I like the lighting and choice of subject matter.

I would have preferred that the back corner of the room not be so apparent, and the cropping ot the stem and petals not be so harsh.

A 3.

Where's the RUST?
05/08/2004 09:39:04 AM
I'm not sure if I see the connection to Rust in this picture
05/07/2004 06:21:54 PM
Did you submit this to the right challenge?
05/07/2004 08:10:01 AM
I'm guessing you just want comments on your photo. Really you would be far better off posting it in the Forum. The only comments you'll get here are 'does not meet the challenge'
05/07/2004 07:23:31 AM
I can´t see here any red!!! Anything rusted!!! Just a 2, sorry.
05/07/2004 03:13:12 AM
I'm interested in the idea behind this. I can't understand the significance to the challenge in this case. Using black & white was a good choice for this composition.
05/07/2004 01:47:20 AM
Don't know how to conncect this with rust. It doesn't really seem to meet the challenge.
05/06/2004 10:33:26 PM
i don't get the rusted connection, might be cropped a little to much on top
05/06/2004 09:12:54 PM
very nice picture, but what in the world does this have to do with "rust"?
05/06/2004 08:25:06 PM
umm... this has nothing to do with rust
05/06/2004 02:35:44 PM
Not sure how this applies to rusted and would have prefered the parts of the flower not to be cut off.
05/06/2004 02:15:31 PM
I can't see the rust.
05/06/2004 12:37:45 PM
does not meet the challenge in my opinion
05/06/2004 12:26:17 PM
Maybe it's just me, but I don't really see how this incorporates the challenge theme. That said, the elements of composition, lighting and focus fall short. I think it would have been much more effective without the glass, etc. on lower left. With a darker background it would have had some impact. I wouldn't mind the white container being a little fuzzy since your flower is sharp. The jar, etc. are distracting. With a black background it might look quite nice.

Where is the RUST
05/05/2004 10:11:47 PM
Where is the rust? I am not particular about the rustiness, but I don't get this one. And as a shot, it is out of focus with no real focal point for me. Very nice light on the flower, though and crips contrast there.
05/05/2004 09:45:36 PM
ummmm.....don't get it.
05/05/2004 09:31:34 PM
Where's the rust???
05/05/2004 07:55:47 PM
how does this meet the challenge of "rusted"? 2
05/05/2004 07:34:50 PM
rusted...wilted??? i can kinda see the connection, where you're going, but i don't think it really fits that well...sorry, just my opinion.
05/05/2004 02:14:31 PM
I don't see rust in any way here. Sorry-The crop on the top is way too tight..and the bottom jars aren't of great interest for this shot.

Where was the rust in this shot?
05/05/2004 07:40:48 AM
Am I missing something? How does this relate to rusted?
05/05/2004 04:56:12 AM
I'm not sure where the rust aspect is in this photo.
05/05/2004 04:42:01 AM
Nice pic but doesn't fit the challenge!
05/05/2004 04:06:58 AM
Does not meet challenge criteria IMO.. nice pic though 5
05/05/2004 02:45:48 AM
???
05/05/2004 02:12:17 AM
I'm sorry, but I do not see a rusted or rusty object in this photo, not even as a metaphor.
05/05/2004 01:39:27 AM
Very pretty image. I'm looking for rust . . . or rusty . . . I'll keep checking!
05/05/2004 12:44:54 AM
