to answer Andi's question - I've found zoneplate and infrared to be a problematic combination - the diffused glow of zone plate and halation of infrared lead to some very, very low contrast images and a lot of work is needed to bring it up to something recognizable.

it's also possible I just haven't found the "right" subject yet for the combo - I would suspect that a heavily contrasty subject to start with might give you a leg up

Interesting! Nothin' like combining weird things to cool effect. Gotta love a kitty shot. I like the much faster shutter speeds available with the zone plate, thus making shots like this possible.

what an interesting combination. I think you need to keep using it. Your "rabbit in a chair" shot is superb.

Infrared eh? As an exercise its a winner but not one of my favs ;) Did you have to clean it up much?
