This is a 1974 San Marino 10 Lire uncirculated Lire coin.

I know people are probably sick of seeing money. And will voters actually believe it's an aluminum coin? I hope so. But I like it. So, as usual, it's in. Predicting mid 5 score.

CS3 edits; Raw white balance to tungsten, smart sharpen twice, cloned out some specks, auto curves, re-size, USM, at border.

Well, I guess a few folks don't like coin shots. I've been a coin collector for years, and like shooting macros. So naturally I like doing coin macros. I'm sure I'll put more up in the future.

really good details captured here - the choice of crop works well

Well shot, but try adding some context to make this photo stand out.

Um... money shots in general don't get me too exhilerated... coins and bank notes: can't quite work out why they keep coming up in abundance in every challenge. I grasp that in this challenge they really do meet the challenge topic, but I've seen soooooo many in other challenges, that this doesn't make an image of currency interesting at all. Sorry.

Not another coin... I'm sorry but I just don't see anything creative or technical good with this other than it is clear, sharp and you cropped it so that it is not dead in the center.
It's just not a very interesting image in my eyes.

I just Wikipedia'd San Marino. What an interesting little place. I'll give you a 9 for opening up my world. Cool coin too.

pity the crop is tight - it would have been nice to see all the coin

An incredible amount of detail you've managed to fit into his. Certainly one that is not done any justice by the thumbnail. A dumb question from an ignorant person: Why do they put a bug on their coin? I'm sure there must be a good reason. I may need to consult the oracle of Wikipedia on this one.
