That's a great scene. I like that the top of the railing is perfectly level and almost centered, so good composing/framing. Wish I could see more of the guitar player. |

I think the classic feel comes from the clouds, sounds odd I suppose, as I know you are a people photographer but I read somewhere you were trying to find classic views of NYC and this fits the bill. |

They should demolish that blasted Verizon building and it's a pain cloning out the logo atop it. It wrecks the scene. Walk down Furman St below on a sunset evening for some nice bleak scenery. |

I hate having my vistas blocked my railing. So Zen squashing. Better to loose a few to the edge then to permanently wreck the view. ; )
One day I would like to have a second story deck reaching partially into a surrounding canopy of pine... no railing. just some rocking chairs, a table, and the view. I will invite Guitar Girl, she could use some cheering up.

I like the way the picture seems divided in half and the iron fence makes my eye cut diagonally through the forefront then hit the backdrop. That is some sky...I'm wondering what what it would look like in colour. |

I don't know if you were going for an old poster look, but that's what you got (I mean the Bridge and the whole background). Maybe because it is so bright... |
