 I took dad to his appointment to get the pins in his hand yesterday & had a few hours to find something to do. Luckily there was a really nice, old cemetery almost right across the street from where his appointment was. There were some incredible headstones there, a lot of them were from the 1800's. Here's just a few images from there, I'll probably post a few more a little later.

As I walked through the cemetery it made me start to think about how proud people used to be. They took pride in making their family name stay alive even after death. Now it seems like way too often greed is what has taken over this country. A lot of family morals have gone out the window, I think everyone needs to slow down & appreciate the smaller things in life before we all end up 6 feet under.

I really like this collage. The colours and details are fantastic in all of the shots. I also like how you arranged them, the "mother" led my eye right around back to the top.

I like the one on the bottom left, with the photo leaning against the headstone. Great colors against the gray sky and stones.

Looks like a beautiful cemetary and my kinda place! I love that statue of the man, he looks both deep in thought and world-weary. The autumn colours look lovely in graveyards, I think. The contrast is really good on these as well.
