it was a bit surreal, Deb is right. To find a square meter in Forbidden city without people is not easy, not to say a whole corner of a courtyard like in this scene. No, I did not cordon out the space, just a fluke happened, and I was able to frame him like that. |

I like this a lot. There's a metaphor here, I'm sure: Amidst the hopeleslly monolithic and uniform surroundings, he manages to do his own thing, as if trying to break out. This is accentuated by the fact that he's down low and not standing tall. Maybe that's a bit deep -- he's probably just texting his wife to say that he'll pick up bread on his way home. |

Seems like such a huge expanse in a place normally known for having lots of people, and yet he's the only one. How did you manage that? I like the lines. He looks so small compared to his surroundings. |
