 This is a picture of a marble inside a crystal glass flute. It was side lit with a flash and lit from underneath with a small torch which happened to have a pink cord which added nicely to the colours.

I believe this would benefit greatly from a levels/contrast adjustment. The composition is very nice and I love the title.

The picture is not the most aesthetic in this challenge (lots of reflections, unsmooth glass). On the other hand, your title puts the marble in a very interesting context, I like it!

A stumper, so meets the challenge. I like the focus on the central subject but the photo overall doesn't hold my interest.

not bad
Macro is always tricky making sure the focus (DOF) is spot on. I find a remote release shutter is best as pressing the on body shutter button causes a lot of movement in a tight shot.
