 I was actually looking for something that would make an interesting "Macro Puzzle" photo, when this little heart-shaped fellow flitted about repeatedly saying, "Me. Me." :)

I was using my macro lens, so I almost always use my flash since that lens needs so much light. That's why the background was already almost all black -- because I had a very close flash on the butterfly.

I agree about the legs thing too. But what a beautiful gift for this one to want to be photographed lol. This looks great in black and white!

Where are the legs....strikes me as a little odd without legs. I like the idea and a nice image, but a little flat....but the heart might not come out in color.

Lovely shot, but you cut off his little toes! Did you do that pre or post process? If you did it post you would have been better off leaving whatever he was standing on in the shot I think.

Great idea and a nice macro. Looks good in b/w and composition looks good although I feel the legs may have been cut of a little.
