Wow! I didn't see this until now and this is awesome. Had I voted in the challenge it would have received a very high score. I agree with the commenters about your hair competing for attention, but it's just a nitpick, IMO.

lol I loved this shot in voting. ( I should have said it while in voting, duh!) Are you a widow per chance? :) Like Michelle, I do not want to tick you off.

lol - you are such a nut. i like how every so often you throw in a very thought provoking photo (the last one that comes to mind is when you used the ahh props from your biz) :)

This will make a great anti-Valentine's Day card.

oh, remind me to never piss you off :P

The lighting is far too harsh but kudos on using a real heart! Very emotive.

Quite scary :p I don't know if the gaussian blur effect really works with this kinda image, but it's quite interesting.

I like that you've really focussed in on the eyes, though I wouldn't mind it being a little sharper overall as the contrast between eyes and body is quite startling. Otherwise this is quite haunting, which I'm guessing was the aim so well done.

If I ever see her on the street, I'm running the other way as fast as I can!!! Nice dramatic capture.

OMG... In the spirit of the challenge (MY spirit, LOL) this is breaking my poor, wounded heart!

*******

This one had my top vote of the challenge. I can't help myself. Being a chef and all. It just cracks my up, it's SO in-your-face!

Braise it... in small pieces.

First impression - Yikes! 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'
Technicals - The red hair of the model competes for attention with the red of the heart. So my eye then rests on the black of the knife handle. The white dot on the handle grabs my attention away from the black dots of the eyes. They are along the same plane. The focus seems to be on the heart but its slightly off the mark. I would like to see something more sharp.
The strong whites in the front overpower the background. I would have loved to see the back the same brightness and without shadows/texture as the front to make the details pop more.

Wow, an attitude....technically very strong, the blown out areas work well, te eyes work well....but the message conveyed is strong!

I think if her hair were lighter so the only thing that really jumped out was the heart, I would like it better. Right now the hair steals the show in my opinion.

I think it looks more like a brain than a heart.

Nasty! But good job conveying the message. White on white is not easy but it looks like you pulled it off although on my monitor it looks like there might be some burned out areas.
The fiery red hair looks very good in this shot.
