 This is a close up of a clamp-on book light with the light shining on the clamp.

I used two extension tubes (12mm and 20mm) in addition to the Canon 17-40mm f/4L USM lens.

Very little PS done to it. A couple of adjustments in RAW to bring out the deep blue color, then a fair amount of dust removal, followed by alternating noise reduction and sharpening. A thin black border was added.

I'm only half way through, but this is the best one yet. Like the colour, simplicity, focus and composition. Great shot but I have no idea what it is!

Looks like a nail or rivet holding 2 pieces of plastic together. Can't be more specific than that. I really like it, nice and abstract with great colours.
