Turned out my camera's "automatic" daylight saving time feature doesn't work. So the time stamp showed as 37 minutes after the challenge entry period.

Oops. Oh, well, I still like the image.
Disqualification Details
Your submission must be taken after the challenge is announced and before the deadline, based on the Current Server Time (US Eastern Standard Time) displayed at the bottom of every page on this site. You must ensure that your camera date and time are correctly set to your local time zone before shooting your entry. If the date recorded in your original image file is not within the specified challenge dates, your entry will be disqualified -- NO exceptions! Also, you may include existing images or artwork as part of your composition as long as the entry does not appear to consist entirely of a pre-existing photograph in order to circumvent date or editing rules or fool the voters into thinking you actually captured the original photograph.

I don't understand why it would matter if the time was off as long as you took the picture AFTER the challenge was announced.

Anyway good luck cheater...

I think you could argue this DQ. Part of this was an existing image, true, but the manner in which it was photographed was part of a greater message being conveyed and the unique OOF way in which it was included was a large part of the composition. May not really be worth the trouble to argue it, though.

well too bad about the DQ. I love the idea here. Wonderfully symbolic and sentimental. I hope you have this printed and framed for home!

A classic wedding shot that never fails to please. Well executed. Should score highly. For me the hard, 100% black hair line on the man is a little distracting.

Cute idea, the selective desaturation works for the image, somehow the image is not dynamic....the picture or whatever it is on the wall is very dark in an otherwise light image, my preference would have been for the locket to be further into the image and perhaps a little bit more depth of field to see more of the parents.

I think this is a much more interesting way of photographing jewelry, well done.

Great idea but looks a little weird to me that so much of the picture is out of focus.
