 Crop and Resize, USM, filter-lighting effects. I hoped that at first glance this would look like a rotting leaf. After careful observation, you should be able to determine what it is, but....enjoy.


Description: I fly and I don't like to stay still. The slightest movement will scare me away.

absolutely fantastic .. i love the processing you've done on this .. i photographed one of these today .. he landed on my leg which is pretty unusual .. i was photographing a very unusual little praying mantis at the time and the movement of turning the camera towards the butterfly made him fly away .. i got a gorgeous blur of wings leaving the shot .. lol ..
anyhooo .. this is stunning .. :)

I think this is pretty cool. I guess the votes were the result of people who voted down because they knew what it was or didn't like the applied filter. Such is life. You composed excellently - keep experimenting - you've got a good eye for shape.

Looks like a petrified butterfly wing.
I assume it is some sort of fancy filter causing that effect.

I'm not sure if the texture effect is part of the object. Assuming it is, and that is clearly a butterfly wing, I think this is a closeup of a textured painting. Maybe. Perhaps. Eh, probably not.

nice effect.. on the butterfly wing. almost like canvas sketch filter in photoshop? A tighter macro might be more interesting as mystery is sometimes the best effect

Looks like a texture effect on a photo of a butterfly. Or could be a glass ball that has a pattern in it.
