Challenge: Puzzle Macro II (Advanced Editing VII*)
Camera: Canon EOS-400D Rebel XTi
Lens: Sigma 20mm f/1.8 EX Aspherical DG DF RF for Canon
Location: My room, Morgan Hill, CA.
Date: Nov 17, 2008
Aperture: N/A
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/20
Date Uploaded: Nov 17, 2008

This is the Tuner hardware on my Classical Acoustic guitar.

Shot this using my 15-55mm XTI kit lens using a hand held reverse macro technique. (No fancy lens or mounting ring here) I lit the tuning head with a white and a blue L.E.D. flash light. Then I took the photo into light room for a quick saturation and color balance.

Aaaah the old side cog. Is this on a music box?
Lighting is interesting. A shame the dust is there.

Out of focus, but cool lighting.

Is this the adjusting part of a shifting spanner?

looks so familiar... could be sharper

Not exactly a stumper ... but a good subject, composition, color, focus. Well done.

Screws?

miniature right angle drive (spur gear & worm gear). Have no idea what it is a part of.

No, only the red monkey dishwasher models come with screw drives. The Purple variety comes with belt drive. Duh.

Wrench?

well done to get so close on such a small object, but overall a little fuzzy

Nice. This looks like a mechanical tuner for a guitar to me. Fun composition, I might have tried rotating just slightly counter clockwise as the slant of the left spiral part gives a slight 'tilted horizon' feel. I like the colors, it looks like perhaps you used a bluish lighting? Anyhow, I like the blue complimenting the gold of the sprocket. Nice Job (I'm doing scoring after commenting/guessing).

Be careful with using on body shutter release when doing Macro shots even on a tripod as the tiniest vibration or movement cause a huge jump in the frame and blurs the focus.

Looks like a screw or cog/turning mechanism. It's a shame it's fuzzy and blurry.

No vote, just guessing...

Gear in a clock?

Great title, LOL. Rack and pinion gear. Could've used better focus.
