Definitely agree with Mocabela, this should've done much better! Not bad for a first attempt though. Good luck with your future entries!

I'm not sure you gain much by having the left hand rail in the picture - a tight crop on the right hand rail might have done it for me.

I think a slightly lower angle would have drawn more attention to the "atlantis" aspect. Nice shot.

Love your title. Yes, you can conjure up all sorts of stories with this image. You've photographed it well and it certainly is a good take on the challenge.

Atlantis is down there?
Crikey - I would've thought that the only things down that stairway
were a few broken bottles, tetanus, and a deformed fish.
