A small droplet of Hydrocarbons encased within a Perspex box, photographed with a white card behind it, and flash aimed at card. Every new oil facility that our company brings online has one of these as presents for senior employee's.

Notice, in all his comments on this challenge, he never says what he thinks they are. (I don't think anyone had a closer guess than "glass" for this one.) I see one person did guess "oil".

The first thing I saw is a drop of maple syrup, then 3 reflections of a Xmas-tree glass ball. But your title says it all, I have probably no clue.
Great picture, I love your lighting and processing.
