My son and I were visiting London. We were coming back from Buckingham palace passing by the Wellington Barracks when I saw this gentlemen conversing with the soldier. The constrast caught my attention and I took a quick capture of the moment. I wish it had been sharper, but I feel the interesting subject matter makes up for any loss in the technical photographic aspect of the picture.

The gentleman looks like he walked right out of Mary Poppins! Not so much the soldier. Interesting juxtaposition, especially with the soldier looking so jolly.

I think the composition is a tad off, but great irony, and lots of expression. Good capture!

Not sure what to make of this. They look too posed, but it's still a funny moment.

I love the contrast between their outfits. I think b&w works well here.

I like how they both wear uniforms and carry a weapon.

Nice juxtaposition. The cropping is too close to the Soldier on the left. I would have tried to crop it more letterbox style, but perhaps that wasn't possible here.

The desaturation seems too dull. Perhaps some higher contrast would do better.

Finally, if the Soldier hadn't grinned directly at the camera, I think this would have been a perfect candid. 7

An interesting contrast of two people, nice capture. I feel you could crop a bit off the bottom but that's just my opinion.

This makes me smile. It's just go so many stories in it waiting for the viewer to find. (not voting yet)
