 I shot this in the middle of the day using natural lighting. I know my exposure wasn,t set where I wanted,(I had to run into the middle of the street for this shot) but liked the abstract that it created.

Compositionally you have the right idea. The technicals need some work. It's overexposed and there's motion blur. Try shooting at dawn or dusk or on an overcast day, and maybe cut out the sky to increase the sense of abstraction. And use a tripod. It might work better in black and white. (Check out my only ribbon for a similar architecture shot.)

Would have been a neat photo of the object would have taken up the whole frame and if it was in focus.

Seems a bit blown out, hard to really focus on. It may have helped getting rid of the blue in the top right, and making the pattern the sole object of the photo. interesting shot.

My eye tries to find a point to focus on in this photo but it all seems soft. I love abstract images such as this but I do think it needs a focus point. Also, the blue sky seems a little distracting. I would like to see the entire pattern in the photo.
