Fog was pretty thick this morning when I went out, but it began to lift a little as I got farther away from Carquinez Strait. I was buzzing down Lake Herman Road and spied these trees glinting in the sun, behind a gated ranch road. Pulled off in the road cut and shot them from as many angles as I could. Played around with the saturation and lightness settings in Lightroom in addition to my typical edits, and also did some selective levels adjustments in PSE 5.0 to try to make the light pop a bit.
This has been my least productive month shooting since I got my DSLR -- been spending most of my photo time this month editing images from my recent trip to Quebec for a Blurb book I'm working on. Checked my hard drive and only shot on two days this month, and both were kind of uninspired, quick shoots, for a total of 58 images for the entire month. I entered one of them as a place holder a few days ago, but wasn't that happy with it, so I hopped in the car on Nov. 30 to troll around for an hour and see if I could come up with something better. Only managed about two dozen more frames on a couple stops, so I'm less than 100 snaps for the month -- about 20% of my normal average output (and about 2% of what I did last month!).
I'll be happy if this one beats my average.

| Lovely, but all the lines draw our attention straight to the center of the pic. I'd like the comoposition better if our eyes were drawn off-center for a little more visual interest. |

| Interesting scene, maybe a little green heavy. Pumping up the saturation of the reds, and the yellows a little adds a little more contrast in colours imho |

| Lovely scene, I'm curious how it would look if you increase the saturation just a bit more. It almost looks like a postcard. |
